Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in 1992 and began studying marine sciences at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard's journey to professional success began in 1999 when she was offered a position at the F/V Sunset. The 65-foot halibut vessel was converted into a tender for salmon by Murat Ariatn, who is a commercial fisherman for more than twenty years. Bossard, who is engaged to Aritan she has joined teams to take over their industries. Both of them are proponents of conserving and profiting from natural resources that are used in the fishing industry. Otolith, a wholesale direct seafood retailer, was founded on the 7th of July 2007 Bella Bossard (age three), Andre Bossard (1 year old) as well as Bossard's mom.
